Privacy Policy
The short version
The Privileged AI software collects nothing. It has no analytics, no telemetry and no account. The documents you work with stay on your Mac. We never see them.
The website and checkout collect the minimum we need to sell you a licence and deliver your download.
What the software does
- Privileged AI runs a language model on your Mac through Ollama, inside an Obsidian vault.
- During setup, the installer downloads Ollama and the AI model from Ollama's servers. After setup, you can use the software fully offline.
- Ollama and Obsidian are separate third-party apps, each with its own update checks and privacy policy. You can turn off Obsidian's automatic update checks in its settings.
- We receive no data from the software, ever.
What we collect when you buy
- Payment details. Stripe processes your payment. We receive your name, email address, country and a payment reference. We never see your full card number.
- Your email address. We use it to send your download link, your licence and support replies. Your licence file and setup guide carry your name or email as a watermark.
- Pro waitlist. If you ask to join the waitlist, we keep your email address to tell you when Pro launches.
What the website collects
- Our hosting provider (Vercel) and network provider (Cloudflare) keep standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.
- When we run ads, the purchase confirmation page may report a conversion to Google Ads so we can measure which ads work. It sends no document content, because we never have any.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the services that run the business: Stripe (payments), Vercel and Cloudflare (hosting, file delivery and email routing) and Google (email delivery and, when active, ad measurement). We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We keep waitlist and support emails until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within 20 working days. Privileged AI operates from Auckland, New Zealand, and follows the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. If you are in the EU, UK or California, you have equivalent rights under your local law, and we honour them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
